Your photos don’t need a trip to a server to lose a few megabytes. Pinch does the work right on your Mac.
THE SMALL PRINT, MINUS THE SQUINT
Pinch runs on macOS 15 (Sequoia) or later, on both Apple Silicon and Intel Macs. It’s a native Mac app that lives in your menu bar.
No. Image compression, video exports, and screenshot organization happen locally. There’s no upload step or account needed to process your files.
Pinch saves beside your originals by default. You can choose another folder or opt into replacing originals. Undo is available during your session, and Pinch protects generated files you’ve edited since compression.
Export images as WebP, JPG, PNG, HEIC, or AVIF. Transparency is supported in WebP, PNG, and AVIF. For video, make a smaller clip, export an MP4, or turn a selected moment into a GIF. Animated and multipage image inputs aren’t supported.
Only if you want the shortcut that reads your current Finder selection. You can decline and still choose files, use Open With, or drop files onto the menu-bar icon. The App Store version also asks you to choose the folders it can work in.
The planned App Store release is a one-time purchase. Final pricing will be shown on the App Store when Pinch launches.

For the files you share.
And the things you’d rather be doing.
